I haven’t posted anything in a while because I’ve been very busy with work and messing around with various distros of linux. I’m currently running on Ubuntu 12.04 beta 1, but have been running PCLinuxOS, Ubuntu 10.04, Backtrack 5, and a few others. I want to start sharing my linux experience with everyone in light of a cute letter microsoft has sent in regards to legitimacy of windows licensing (basically their way of cashing in on the refurbished PC market). I want to begin to distribute all my PCs with linux instead of windows. But I don’t want my customers to be scared of change – since most people use smart phones and using the latest Ubuntu is quite similar to the Android OS, it can be fun and simple to get the hang of it. I want to create tutorials to help others get familiar with the changes. It’s been a lot of fun for me

I think it’s very important to inform my audience that I’m never searching online using google in light of their new privacy policy. It’s so important to know and understand the changes and how it can/will affect you. With that being said, I’m now using ddg.gg AKA duckduckgo.com (https://duckduckgo.com). They do not track you and the search results seem to be much more relevant. Give it a try:

Today I downloaded the new developer’s preview of the upcoming Windows Operating System “Windows 8″. So far it’s running fine on my VMWorkstation. I’m not so sure about the new start menu but if it’s running on a tablet, I can see some potential.
